Brand Overview
Rooftop Cinema - Melbourne CBD
The Age
The Age has been an integral part of Victorian life since it was first published on 17 October, 1854.

As Victoria’s premier broadsheet newspaper with its team of experienced journalists, international correspondents and high-profile commentators, The Age remains committed to attracting an influential and discerning audience.

The Age continues to strengthen its publishing base by developing sections and launching new magazines and books to meet the needs of a diverse and engaged audience.

The winner of numerous awards for editorial excellence, The Age is proud of its record of fearless and independent reporting and is determined to maintain this tradition.

Recent changes to The Age to improve content and accessibility for our readers have seen the paper buck national and international trends and post circulation gains across all days of the week (including a new record for The Sunday Age), making The Age the top performing metropolitan newspaper in Australia.

Audience

The Age attracts a loyal audience by delivering 'journalism you can trust' every day of the week.

The high quality of the editorial content of The Age provides a compelling reason to connect with a trusted brand, particularly in a market offering multiple choices to access information.

From this solid foundation we have created a range of sections and special publications to engage our readers, connect with our community and provide advertisers with the ability to reach diverse market segments.

Overview

The Age is the 'must use' choice for advertisers who want to reach an influential and affluent market because it attracts more readers within the key AB demographic than any other Victorian publication.

Even better news for advertisers is that in the latest release of readership results to June 2008, The Age increased its AB readership on the previous quarter across all days of the week

Compared to the Herald Sun, The Age attracts 73,000 more AB readers across Mon-Fri, 155,000 more AB readers on Saturday, and 55,000 more on Sunday.

Rates
To negotiate your best rates, contact your Sales Executive

All rates published on this site are effective from 1 July 2008.

Since 1 July 2007 all sections of The Age apart from the News EGN) section changed to a modular display advertising pricing model. Modular display advertising within tabloid sections breaks the page into a grid 4 modules wide and 8 modules high. Modular pricing is linear, ie. the cost of 2 modules is double that of 1 module and so on.

Display advertising in the News (EGN) section is still based on a per column centimetre structure.

Colour and position loadings may apply to both modular and column centimetre advertising rates.

Rate cards for every area of The Age are available as PDF files which you can download to your computer and print out as required. See below.
